Polonia Day in Reinickendorf: Festival of Culture and EU celebrations
Last Saturday the Polonia Day took place on the town hall forecourt in Reinickendorf for the eleventh time. The festival has established itself in the district's event calendar in recent years and is very popular. District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner praised the intensive and constructive cooperation between the district office and the Polonia, which organizes the festival every year. The chairman was particularly highlighted by the Polish Council, State Association of Berlin, Ferdinand Domaradzki, for his commitment.
The festival offered visitors a rich cultural program and the opportunity to find out about the offers of various freelance carriers. It also served as a bridge between the cultures, since it offered the Reinickendorfer the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of the neighboring country of Poland. This year, high -ranking guests such as the ambassador of Poland, Dariusz Pawlos, and Senator Wojciech Ziemniak were also welcomed with a warm welcome in Reinickendorf. The 20th anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union was the focus of this year's Polonia tag, which was also celebrated with regard to the upcoming elections.
The festival was well attended and offered entertainment for visitors of all ages. The mayor is already looking forward to the next Polonia day in the coming year. This festival is not only an opportunity for celebration and entertainment, but also an important event that reflects the cultural diversity and close cooperation between Germany and Poland in Reinickendorf.
