Advanced opening times for the archive and the library in the Museum Reinickendorf: A step to strengthen local culture

The archive and the library in the Reinickendorf museum recently expanded their opening hours in order to enable easier access to a valuable cultural heritage. This measure is part of a more comprehensive collection of collection, which with the help of librarian Dr. Dirk knowledge is developed. The aim is not only to improve the service, but also to make the knowledge and information more accessible to the interested public.

The new opening times are now on Mondays from 12 noon to 3 p.m., Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This expansion means that visitors now have more opportunities to explore the impressive collection, which includes around 4,000 titles, including historical books.

"The archive is an excellent point of contact- whether for cultural, social or industrial history. Here you can learn a lot about our district," emphasizes City Councilor Harald Muschner (CDU). The diverse stocks of the archive include original materials on the art and history of the district. These include photographs, maps, newspaper articles, documents and unique discounts from personalities such as the artist Hannah Höch and the doctor Vladimir Lindenberg.

This initiative for improved accessibility is considered a significant step to strengthen cultural awareness in the community and to preserve local history. By making historical documents and information more easily available, pupils, researchers and the general public can immerse themselves in the history of the district and gain valuable knowledge.
