New apartments for federal civil servants in Berlin - BIMA construction project is urgently needed to create living space.

In Reinickendorf, the foundation stone was laid for 88 new apartments that will be available to federal officials in the future. The construction project is part of the largest housing project of the Federal Real Estate Agency (BIMA) in the Cité Foch. The apartments are created in an open construction, are designed in a climate -friendly manner and should make an important contribution to reducing the housing shortage.

The Cité Foch in Reinickendorf, which was once built for the French Allies and their relatives, is considered one of the largest housing potential in the district. In addition to the former Tegel Airport and adjacent parking facilities, the district is particularly well connected to the S-Bahn and thus to the city center.

The creation of affordable living space on a larger extent, especially in a historically significant place, is positively perceived by many Berlin citizens. The good cooperation between the district office, Bima and other participants is seen as the foundation for a livable and modern environment.
