Märkisches Viertel: narrative and writing workshops invite you to participate
The Reinickendorf district office provides information about a special series of events on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Märkische Quarter. Under the motto "Tell me!- Your quarter history" invite various facilities to narrative and writing workshops. The workshops will take place on four different appointments by July 26, 2024 and offer neighbors of the Märkische Quarter's opportunity to share their stories and perspectives. The series of events aims to create and publish a collection of these stories in order to preserve valuable memories and individual experiences.
The Märkische Viertel in Berlin is characterized by a variety of cultures and stories, since the residents come from a total of 120 nations. The participants of the workshops are invited to think about topics such as life in the district, the term “home” and formative experiences. This series of events is intended to promote cultural diversity and living together in the Märkisches district.
The final event of the workshops will take place on September 6th in the district library in the Märkisches district. The series of events is supported by the Gesobau Foundation and Benn in the Märkisches Viertel. Interested parties can register for the workshops, whereby participation in individual appointments is also possible. Registrations are possible at Benn in the Märkisches Viertel by email or by phone.
This series of events offers the residents of the Märkische Quarter a unique opportunity to share their stories and experiences and to appreciate the cultural diversity of the quarter. The initiative will certainly help strengthen the sense of community in the district and to promote the connection between the residents.
