Actively meeting climate change: Reinickendorf starts climate (change)-weeks 2024

Reinickendorf makes Welle! In September 2024, the district becomes a hotspot for climate engagement and invites all citizens to the exciting series of events "Climate (change) weeks". The Reinickendorf City Library, the Coordination Center for Environmental Education and the District Office of the District Office are the driving forces behind this initiative, which is aimed openly at everyone interested. Reinickendorf focuses on innovative strategies under the banner "Climate adjustment". Five exciting events are planned that encourage exchange and act. District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) is proud that Reinickendorf is the only district to be the only district of the climate adaptation throughout Berlin. "I am very pleased that our district office is there in cooperation with many other actors," she says with obvious enthusiasm. The partners include the German Wildlife Foundation, Grandma's For Future, the Berlin Rainwater Agency and many other institutions that work together to find solutions for more sustainable cooperation.
