Kiezfonds 2024: Reinickendorf district supports local projects

The district mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) announced the start of the Kiezfonds 2024, in which 40,000 euros from the district fund will be provided to strengthen social cohesion in the neighborhood and to preserve nature. Applications can still be submitted by April 30, 2024, whereby citizens, groups of residents, local initiatives and non -profit associations have the opportunity to implement projects to promote neighborly cohesion and to improve the living environment. A special feature of this year's Kiezfond is the reservation of 10,000 euros for environmental protection projects that are to be funded.

Funding for local social projects and environmental protection projects vary between 500 and 2,000 euros and must be spent this year. Projects can be submitted to the district office reinickendorf either by email to spk@reinickendorf.berlin.de or by post. Only one project application is allowed per institution, association or local group. If you have any questions about the application, the team of social space -oriented planning coordination (OE SPK) is available.

The promotion of the Kiezfonds aims to strengthen voluntary work and to promote social cohesion in the neighborhoods. The district councils unanimously named the Kieze Reinickendorf West and East as well as the Märkische Viertel as eligible. Interested citizens can find more information and the possibility of applying for the application on the website of the Reinickendorf district.

In a table, possibly relevant information such as the previous funded projects, the intended use of the funds or the planned number of funded projects could be listed in order to give readers a better overview of the previous successes of the neighborhood fund.
