On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the Tegel-Süd district celebrates its twelfth neighborhood festival, an event that brings together the community and promotes important social connections. Planned on the corner of Sterkrader Straße and Namslauer Straße (13507 Berlin), the event begins at 1 p.m. and is officially opened at 1:30 p.m. by Korinna Stephan, the district councilor for urban development, and Alexander Ewers, the city council for youth and family.

The neighborhood festival not only represents a special highlight in the calendar of the district, but is also a reflection of the committed initiatives and organizations that are active in Reinickendorf. A total of 24 different groups, including youth leisure facilities, schools and churches, participate in the event. This cooperation shows how important the cohesion in the neighborhood is and that many hands can often create a nice festival.

Visitors can look forward to a varied program that includes live music, thrilling participation offers and information stands. The stage performances are a special attraction-pupils from the Havelmüller primary school will be on stage with the band Powern notes, while local talents such as pastor Daniel Scharf and the children's choir of the Protestant parish will also appear. The festival attracts numerous people and offers a room to celebrate the creativity of the local artists.

A highlight for the younger participants is the "Bollerwagen" play mobile, which provides various play and movement options. In the so -called caries tunnel, brushing your teeth is playfully discussed under black light - an innovative method to bring important hygiene practices closer to children. In addition, a water bar is offered for the first time, where free water with various ingredients such as herbs, cucumbers or fruit is offered. This is not only refreshing, but also promotes a conscious handling of healthy eating.
