Integration in Reinickendorf: Success thanks to integration pilots
In a conversation to which district mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) invited Reinickendorfer Integration Pilots on February 23, the focus was on the current refugee situation and the progress in integration. In Reinickendorf at the sponsor Albatros e.V., integration pilots have been active in Reinickendorf, which support people with a migration background and escape experience in different situations. At the moment, 14 integration pilots work at the locations in the Märkisches Viertel and in Auguste-Viktoria-Allee, who also speak Russian, Turkish, Polish, Arabic, Farsi, Bulgarian, Kurdish and French.
The integration pilots support authorities, educational, health and youth institutions as well as refugee accommodation in the Reinickendorf district. The administrative accompaniment, cooperation with the job center, social housing and child and youth health service are among their important tasks. The diverse language offer enables both long -established migrants and refugees to offer support. In addition, other language agents work on various job center measures at the Albatros e.V. and annual rings.
Here you will find a table with information on the language skills of the integration pilots:
| Language | Number of integration pilots |
| ————– | —————————————— |
| German | 14 |
| Russian | 4 |
| Turkish | 3 |
| Polish | 2 |
| Arabic | 5 |
| Farsi | 3 |
| Bulgarian | 2 |
| Kurdish | 4 |
| French | 3 |
The integration pilots thus make an important contribution to the integration of people with a migration background and escape experience in the Reinickendorf district. Due to their diverse language skills, they can form and support a bridge between these people and society in different areas of life.
