Innovative art in focus: exhibition medium final.” opened in Berlin!

On October 21, 2025, the Graphothek Berlin will host the exhibition “medium final.” open their doors. This opening will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the gallery in the Fontane House. The exhibition presents a careful selection of works from the collection, selected by curator Dennis Fuchs. Drawings, prints and photographs are shown that deal thematically with the in-between, the provisional and the change. Among the artists exhibited are well-known personalities such as Shafic Abboud, Erwin Bechtold and Wassily Kandinsky. The works on display span a fascinating spectrum between different forms of artistic expression.

The exhibition period extends from October 22nd to November 13th, 2025. The Graphothek Berlin is located at Wilhelmsruher Damm 142c in 13439 Berlin. Opening hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The transport connections are easy to reach with the Wittenau S-Bahn and subway stations as well as the bus lines M21, X21, X33 and 124 from Märkisches Zentrum. Further information can be requested via telephone number (030) 90294-3860 or email graphothek@reinickendorf.berlin.de.

Accompanying program with workshops

In addition to the exhibition, there will be a varied accompanying program that includes workshops. On October 23, 2025, a workshop on creating spatial images from air-drying modeling clay will take place under the direction of Dennis Fuchs, which will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Graphothek. Participants will be inspired by a tour of the exhibition. You can use everyday objects and deal with the perspectives and simultaneity of two- and three-dimensional images. Registration for this free workshop is required and materials will be provided. The location of the workshop is at Königshorster Straße 61, also in the Fontane House, with an entrance from the Märkisches Zentrum market square.

In addition, two further workshops are planned: On November 4th, 2025, Teresa Mayr will offer multimedia work with the site from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on November 12th, 2025, Ines Doleschal will offer a collage with architectural photographs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. These events complement the exhibition concept and offer participants the opportunity to further develop their artistic skills.
