Discover Berlin: Long week of neighborhood history 2024
The "Long week of neighborhood history" invites you from May 25th to June 2, 2024 to a journey of discovery through twelve Berlin districts. Under the motto "City in Change", visitors can explore the unknown history of the capital and experience Berlin from new perspectives. The Reinickendorf Museum takes part in the event and offers three exciting events.
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, a walk with the architect and city planner Christiane Borgelt will take place at 2:00 p.m. The meeting point is in front of the fountain on Franz-Neumann-Platz. Registration is required for participation.
Furthermore, a guided bike tour along the former Berlin Wall around Reinickendorf is offered. The tour is carried out in three sections:
-Tour I leads from the Wollankstraße S-Bahn station to the Köppchensee and starts on Saturday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. The meeting point is on Wilhelm-Kuhr-Straße, corner of Schulzenstrasse near S-Bahnhof Wollankstraße.
- Tour II leads from the Köppchensee to the "duck beak" and starts on Sunday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m. The meeting point is at the village jug of Lübars.
A registration is required for participation in the bike tours.
The events of the “Long Week of Child History” are free of charge and are supported by the Berlin Regional Museums (ABR) and the project outside.
Participation in these events offers visitors the opportunity to rediscover their neighborhood and experience the history of Berlin up close.
