After a long phase of inactivity, the fountain is now in operation every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In the course of the redesign of the Lettenplatz in recent years, the bronze sculpture had to be dismantled and cleaned, while the technical components were also subjected to overhaul. In addition, the fountain received a coating that is supposed to protect against graffiti and lime deposits.

Julia Schrod-Thiel, district councilor for order, environment and traffic (CDU), was pleased with the successful restoration of the flower fountain: “I am very pleased that thanks to the excellent collaboration of the employees of the well-being of the fountains of the fountain, this summer could finally be brought back to life and now shines in its original splendor, as the sculptor Vera Krickhahn Earth has. The official "reopening" of the flower fountain, which is over 40 years old, found afternoon, on September 16, in the presence of the artist's husband, Dr. Dieter Ketterer and the district councilor. The water of the fountain already flows, but it is not suitable as drinking water. A corresponding sign will be set up shortly.
