Looking for library visitors in Berlin: Participation in the international study
The Berlin city libraries take part in an international study to examine the visitor's experience and evaluate the library offers more closely. As part of the association of the public libraries of Berlin (VöBB), the Berlin libraries have merged with facilities from seven European countries to compare their services.
The Sentobib audience research, in which libraries from France, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Italy and Belgium also take part in Germany are supported by the University of Hildesheim and the German Library Association. Visitors, former users and non-users of the libraries are invited to take part in an extensive online questionnaire, from 19.06. until 31.10.2024 is available.
The participants have the opportunity to communicate their experiences and wishes regarding the library offers. The questionnaire can be answered in the languages of all participating countries in order to record as many different voices as possible. The Cultural City Councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) emphasizes the importance of this study for the further development of the library offers in Berlin.
In Reinickendorf, the questionnaire under the link "Reinickendorf | Sentobib" is available in order to offer visitors from this district the opportunity to participate. As expected, the results of the study will provide important impulses for the future orientation and design of the library offers in Berlin.
