Association Center Bagatelle: 30 years of funding for young artists

Last Sunday, the Kunstverein Center Bagatelle celebrated its 30th anniversary in Frohnau. The anniversary not only attracted numerous art lovers, but also prominent guests such as the district mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU), who in her speech emphasized the important role of the association in promoting art and culture in Reinickendorf.

The association, which was founded in 1994, has repeatedly awakened enthusiasm for art through its diverse program of exhibitions, courses and lectures. In particular, the close cooperation with the district office and the Department of Art and History led to unforgettable events, such as memorial events to well -known artists and the rescue of endangered works of art.

Since 2018, the Kunstverein has successfully cooperated with the district office and jointly awards a sponsorship award for young art. Reinickendorf established this initiative as an important location for aspiring artists in Berlin.

At the anniversary celebration, not only members and friends of the association were present, but also five founding members. The chairman of the board opened the event with an inspiring speech, followed by worthings by the district mayor and the honorary chairman. The celebration was musically accompanied by piano sounds that perfectly accompanied the festive mood.

The district mayor finally emphasized the importance of the art association as the artistic workbench of the city. Through initiatives such as the studio weekends, Reinickendorf is becoming increasingly visible in the Berlin cultural scene and offers young artists a valuable platform to develop.
