Rave the Planet: A festival of the community in the heart of Berlin
On Saturday, August 17, 2024, the Tiergarten in Berlin is transformed into a living stage for "Rave the Planet", an event that brings together several hundred thousand people. From 12:00 p.m. to around 10:00 p.m. the participants awaits: a celebration that not only contains music and dances, but also conveys a strong sense of community.
preparation for the big day
As early as August 16, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., preparations for the mega event begin. As a result, important roads in the vicinity of the zoo are blocked. These measures are necessary to ensure the security of the event and the participant: to enable undisturbed access inside.

The traffic restrictions are up to August 18, 2024 and concern the following areas:
- Street of June 17th (between Great Star and Brandenburg Gate)
- Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße
- Ebertstrasse (between Behrenstrasse and Dorotheenstraße)
- Pariser Platz/Brandenburg Tor
In addition, further streets will be blocked between 9:00 a.m. and 03:00 from August 17, 2024, including:
- Great star

public transport and safety instructions
The Berlin police recommend the participant: inside, using the western entrances to the street of June 17, in particular through the Zoological Garden train station. The Brandenburg Gate train station is closed at 2:00 p.m., and the trains are passed through without a stop to ensure a smooth process.
The meaning for the community
"Rave the Planet" is more than just an event; It stands for the cultural diversity and joie de vivre that characterize Berlin. This type of major event has the potential to strengthen the local economy and to promote the city's identity as the Center for Art and Culture. It creates opportunities for social exchange and promotes a feeling of belonging among the participants: inside that come from different parts of the world to celebrate together.
The upcoming event in the zoo not only symbolizes a return to great live events, but also the resilience of a community that comes together even in challenging times to celebrate joy and cohesion.
