Randals and arrests: violence in memory of Luxembourg and Liebknecht!
In the annual commemoration of the communist leaders Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, there were now riots between police officers and demonstrators in Berlin. As BZ Berlin , Pro-Palestinian groups mixed up to the demonstrators, which led to violent arguments. The demonstration started at 10 a.m. at the Frankfurt goal in Friedrichshain and aimed to draw the memorial of the socialists in the central cemetery of Friedrichsfelde. According to Tagesspiegel were only available at 11:30 a.m., although up to 10,000 people were registered. It was increasingly called forbidden slogans in connection with the Middle East conflict. In the middle of the tensions, the police called up the participants several times to fail their slogans. The demonstrators called for an end to the arms deliveries to Israel and Ukraine, as well as a diplomatic solution to all conflicts. The death of Luxembourg and Liebknecht in 1919 was recognized with this campaign, but violence during the memorial event overshadowed the memory of the two historical figures.
