Putin blame for plane crash on Ukraine - outrage in Azerbaijan!

38 people died in a tragic plane crash in Kazakhstan. The passenger machine that was traveling for Azerbaijan Airlines came into contact with Russian air traffic when approaching Grosny Airport. After the incident, Wladimir Putin apologized to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, but rejected the responsibility for the incident. The Kremlin explained that the crash took place during a deployment of Russian air defense, which defended itself against Ukrainian drone attacks. Putin expressed that the machine's safe landing test would not have failed without these attacks, which indirectly blameed the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj, such as Live reported.

Investigations and international reactions

The Russian investigators have initiated a procedure for violating the security regulations in air traffic. The surveys of civilian and military specialists are currently running to clarify the exact circumstances of the crash. In cooperation with representatives of the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's office, the investigators also continue to work at the crash site near Aktau.

At the same time, EU chief diplomat Kaja Kallas called for a quick and independent examination of the incident. Their statement is reminiscent of the dramatic events around the shooting of the Malaysia Airlines MH17 in 2014, in which all 298 inmates died. The reports of a possible shooting of the Azerbaijani aircraft create similar concerns. Kallas appealed that Russia had to make a clear explanation and to discontinue disinformation, such as Spiegel
