Pro -Palestinian riots in Berlin - Peaceful Demos in NRW
On Wednesday night, pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Berlin made the Neukölln district unsafe and attacked police officers. Sonnenallee was particularly affected, where young men were looking for the disputes with the police and attacked them with bottles and stones. A barricade was set on fire and property damage, such as burning e-scooters and a children's playground, occurred. The police used a water cannon to extinguish the fire and calm the situation. Two police officers were injured in the attacks. The riots are part of a number of pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Berlin, which have been taking place on Israel since the massive attack by Hamas. In contrast, pro-Palestinian rallies in NRW were peaceful, with a total of more than 500 participants in different cities. There, demonstrators wore Palestinian flags and candles. Other federal states such as Baden-Württemberg also recorded peaceful rallies with 40 to 60 participants. It is important to note that despite the riots in Berlin, most demonstrations went peaceful and non -violent. According to a report from www.welt.de.
