On 11. September 2024 at 7 p.m. there is an important information event to calm traffic in the Wischbergeweg. The event location has changed due to the high interest: Instead of in the originally planned street and green space office, the event is now carried out in the Rathaus Pankow, Emma-Ihrer-Saal (room 1.55), Breite Straße 24a-26, 13187 Berlin .

The changes in traffic routing are a direct reaction to the numerous complaints from residents who have pointed out the problem of through traffic. The measures aim to design the wiping ceremony in the Heinersdorf district as a dead end in order to reduce motorized traffic. In the future, access will only be possible via Romain-Rolland-Straße and Rennbahnstrasse. However, cyclists and pedestrians should better gain access through the redesigned area.

The necessity of this construction work is also supported by a decision by the Pankow (BVV) district assembly. This decision demonstrates the commitment of the local government to respond to the interests of the community and to improve the quality of life in the residential areas.

Due to the planned redesign, the municipality hopes that a significant relief of traffic problems caused by heavy through traffic. These are important steps to create safe and quieter living conditions and to promote sustainable means of transport such as cycling and walk.
