Road and green space office Pankow has to fell trees in Berlin - new plantings planned!

According to a report by Pankow/aktuemiTes/2023/Pressemage department. Calendar week remove various trees and wild growth to ensure traffic safety. In Blankenburg, birch and ahorne are mainly felled along a building plot. Part of the woodcut remains as a dead wood hedge in the green area.

In Prenzlauer Berg, individual felling at various locations is planned. Among other things, eight birches at the Blankensteinpark and on the playground there have to be felled. In the Thomas Mann district, gods are affected. There are also felling of cherries, apple ports and thuja trees, with new trees to be planted.

Numerous new plantings for autumn 2023 are also announced, the exact tree species of which has not yet been determined. The new plantings include trees on Immanuelkirchstrasse, Templiner Straße, on the playground Rykestr./sredzkistraße and in the Leisepark.

In spring 2024, further new plantings are planned in different streets, including Rennbahnstrasse, Romain-Rolland-Straße and Berliner Allee. The exact number and tree species are not yet known.

The district councilor for order and public space, Manuela Anders-Granitzki, emphasizes the importance of the new plantings and asks for support in preserving the trees. She also appeals to dog owners to make sure that her dogs do not urinate against the young trees.
