Friendship concert with Riwne: Music connects!

Eine neue kulturelle Initiative steht bevor, die die Städtepartnerschaft zwischen dem Berliner Bezirk Pankow und der ukrainischen Stadt Riwne stärken soll. Im September 2024 plant das Bezirksamt Pankow in Zusammenarbeit mit der Musikschule Béla Bartók einen Musikaustausch sowie ein gemeinsames Konzert während des Weißenseer Kultursommers. Studierende der Musikhochschule Riwne und Schüler:innen der Musikschule Béla Bartók werden gemeinsam in einem Orchester auftreten und so kulturelle Verbindungen knüpfen. A new cultural initiative is imminent, which is intended to strengthen the city partnership between the Berlin district of Pankow and the Ukrainian city of Riwne. In September 2024, the district office Pankow, in cooperation with the Béla Bartók music school, is planning an exchange of music and a joint concert during the Weißensee Kultur summer. In order to finance the one -week exchange program, the accommodation and transport of the students, the district office asks for donations. The friendship concert is planned for Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Peter Edel education and cultural center. Admission to this special cultural event is free. Donations can now be transferred to the account of the district fund Pankow with the intended use "2433000675003/music exchange".

The city partnership between Pankow and Riwne has a long history and was established with the aim of promoting the cultural exchange between the two cities. Over the years, various cultural, educational and economic projects have contributed to strengthening relationships and promoting international understanding.
