Oldenburger Baskets Break Leverkusen's fortress: 79: 70 victory celebrated!

The Baskets Juniors Oldenburg won an impressive 79:70 victory against the Bayer Giants Leverkusen on Sunday and thus ended a long dry spell in this away game. Thanks to an outstanding second half and the return of playmaker Simon Kohlhoff, who shone with 17 points, three rebounds and three assists, the Oldenburgers were able to convert their performance from the previous week in Berlin.

Despite a nervous start and seven ball losses in the first few minutes, the Baskets Juniors focused and turned the game after half -time. A 31: 6 run in the third quarter catapulted them onto the winning road. Coach Dimitrios Polychroniadis praised the strong team performance and the crucial role of Kohlhoff, which gave the game stability. The Oldenburgers were strong on the offensive with almost 60 percent litter quota, even if they missed 23 free throws. Miran Evin and Colin Schroeder also contributed significantly to the victory, while Lazar Klaric finally brought about the preliminary decision with a threesome.
