Queerz Summer Open-Air: Festival for young queer people on the children's world site

Six months after the last Queerz Festival in the Schwuz, the Queerz Summer Open-Air event will take place on the grounds of the children's world on the field on May 25 to 9 p.m. The program of the Queer Youth Festival includes a project market again this year with various youth projects such as Lambda, Q*UBE, House of Queers, Jukuz, Queer Base, Qu*All or the Berlin boys and many other offers. In addition, visitors can try out and creative at various workshops related to self -defense, theater & photo and a small obstacle course.

The charismatic queens Amy Strong and Ellie Caballé moderate the event. Dan Perry is eagerly awaited on the Queerz stage, who convinced in 2021 at "The Voice of Germany". At the end, the young people can be on stage in the popular karaoke session and show their singing talent. The Queerz Festival is opened by the district councilor for youth, Sarah Nagel: "I am pleased that we are now celebrating the 9th queer and the festival has so well established itself as a platform for young queer people."

The festival offers a space for exchange and self -realization. Here young people can celebrate their identity in a free and positive atmosphere. "The Queerz emerged from the workshops of the LSVD Berlin-Brandenburg and addresses the need to create a supportive space for queer young people who come out at their schools. The aim of the festival is to strengthen these young people and to convey the message to them to be okay," explains Thomas Schwarz, who is responsible for the area at the LSVD Berlin-Brandenburg Queerz launched 2019.

The festival is financed against violence by the Berlin State Commission. Entry to the queerz Summer Open Air event on May 25, 2024 is free. The venue is located on the site of the children's world on the field in the Oderstr. 174, 12049 Berlin. It is expected that this event is again attracting a large number of young queer people to celebrate and network together. It is an important platform for the queer youth in Berlin to express and show that it is okay to be yourself.
