Police close Neuköllner Bar: Drug trade in focus!

Berlin is aware of their problems of drug trafficking and burglaries and has reacted sharply in the past few days. On December 5, 2024, the police moved from citizens to the "Escobar" in Neukölln. Civilians discovered signs of an extensive drug trade on site. A suspect was arrested at the Hermannstrasse underground station, in the course of this the officials found several cello balls with alleged narcotics during a search. These arrests led to a comprehensive control of the restaurant, where further drugs were ensured. In order not to endanger the investigation, the police put on a purple seal at the front door, which temporarily prohibits access to the bar. The fate of the "Escobar" remains uncertain, while the officials will check the allegations and the bar remains closed for the time being, as Berliner Zeitung reported.
