In the idyllic Trusepark on the banks of the Weigand in Neukölln, a new Calisthenics facility was recently inaugurated. Instead of classic weight training sessions, sports enthusiasts can now work with their own body on this specially designed facility and improve their fitness. The establishment of the system was part of the daycare and playground renovation program and devoured a total of around 95,000 euros, with the devices cost 35,000 euros and the remaining 60,000 euros for landscaping work as well as the barrier-free access for wheelchair users: inside.

District City Councilor Jochen Biedermann emphasized that the Calisthenics facility was a popular addition to the existing sports facilities in the TrusePark. He underlined the importance of free sports opportunities outdoors for people of different age groups and needs. Due to the great encouragement, the district office of Neukölln is already planning to build further calisthenics systems in the area.

The new facility not only offers a sporting challenge, but also a barrier -free environment for all sports enthusiasts. A clear step towards a diverse and inclusive sports landscape in Neukölln.
