Sounding variety in the Körnerpark: Berlin choirs conquer the stage!
The Körnerpark in Berlin often remains a well-kept secret, hidden between Neuköllner Karl-Marx-Straße and Hermannstrasse. But since 2017 the park has been organizing a popular series for Berlin choirs in May and September at 12 p.m.
The events take place on the terrace in front of the gallery and offer a diverse stage for singing groups of all ages and genres, including children's choirs, gospel, jazz, pop, world music and classical music. Entry to the events is free, and there is no access to the performance in rainy weather.
Different choirs appear over the course of the year, including the "Bunte Band Berlin", "The Tuesday Choir", "Mirabella", "BVG Choir", "Berliner Transemble", "Downtown Vocals", "Canto Ergo Sum", "Jazz’n Oldies", "Just Choired" and "Popchor Prenzlauer Berg". Each choir has its own repertoire and style, from trans* choirs to soul, pop and jazz.
