The district office Neukölln has today decided to block a budget for 2024 to react to the expected savings requirement of EUR 10.04 million. The decision was made with regard to the upcoming formal conclusion of the budget consultations in the House of Representatives. It is expected that the expected decision on the household will leave the district office Neukölln a deficit of EUR 10.04 million, since this sum was previously included in the draft household plan as a "flat -rate minor edition" (PMA).

The budget lock, which will apply from January 1, 2024, basically prohibits all offices to enter into new obligations or to conclude new contracts.
