New shine for Villa Kellermann: Tradition meets enjoyment!
After a long dry spell, there is finally good news for the lovers of the "Villa Kellermann" in Potsdam! On January 1, 2025, the traditional restaurant will be reopened under the new name "Höfts - Restaurant, Events & Catering in the Villa Kellermann". The family -run company Tomasa, which already operates several restaurants in Berlin, is responsible for this. This information would certainly have pleased many regular guests who mourned the closure last year due to the Corona pandemic and the increased operating costs, as reported by the "Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung".
A piece of history is revived
The Villa Kellermann has a remarkable story: originally built in 1914 for the royal master of ceremonies Friedrich Wilhelm von Hardt, it was used by various owners, especially as a cultural center in the GDR. In 2015 the well -known television presenter Günther Jauch acquired the property. In partnership with the star chef Tim Raue, he opened a restaurant in 2019, but had to close in June 2023 due to financial difficulties. While the closure was a big loss for many, the anticipation for reopening is now great. "I am pleased that gastronomic life will move back into Villa Kellermann," Jauch said his hope of a successful future for the new team around Ms. Höft.
The reopening will offer traditional ones, because "Höfts" is devoted to German cuisine according to "Grandma's recipes" in a historical ambience, a concept that many should remind many of the good old days again. The first guests have the opportunity to enjoy a special Christmas card on December 25th and 26th. It remains exciting what the return of the catering business means for the region and what culinary experiences are waiting for the guests!
