New giraffe offspring in the Berlin Tierpark: A joyful family festival!

In the Berlin Zoo, there are exciting news that not only inspires animal lovers. After a number of strong growth developments in the capital city zoos, including the birth of dwarf flow horses and Panda twins, the focus is now on the giraffe. These fascinating animals have increased, which significantly increases the number in the herd.

giraffe lady Maude gave birth to her eighth calibules in the night from 22nd to September 23, which enormously upgrades the overall picture of the giraffe family in the Berlin zoo. With these new growths, the herd now counts proud eleven members. The other mothers Maude as well as Katharina and Amalka play a crucial role in this growth. The future star of this small family, a healthy bull, is the latest member after Berti's births in June and Emily in August and ensures a breath of fresh air in the herd.

Andreas Knieriem, the director of the zoo, expresses his joy about the birth rate: "We have never had so many young animals who were also tied around in our savannah. We are very happy that it worked three times this year, because there are only 1,400 Rothschild giraffes in the natural habitat." The increase in giraffes is a positive step for the existence of this endangered way that is increasingly threatened according to the World Natural Conservation Union.

The fact that visitors don't have to wait long for the new animals is an additional pleasant aspect. Maude and her newborn calibge had only spent the first few hours after the birth. In the meantime, they are fully integrated into the herd again and are therefore visible to visitors. The opportunity to see these majestic animals in action is therefore only a visit.

With a total of eleven giraffes that run around under the watchful eyes of its fellow species, the Berlin Zoo has created a special attraction that can be combined excellently with the news about other animal births in the region. Experiencing such a variety of young animals is not only an exciting time for the employees, but also for visitors to the zoo, full of emotions and affection for these wonderful animals.
