New film Dream Novel: Casimir Teuffel conquers the canvas!
A new star in the film sky announces itself: Casimir Teuffel from Birkensee, the 12-year-old grand nephew of the legendary film producer Artur Brauner, celebrates his acting debut in the remake of the erotic drama "Dream Novel". This fresh adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler's classic, who comes to German cinemas on January 16, is staged by filmmaker Florian Frerichs and brings the story to life again on the night streets of Berlin. In the main roles we see Nikolai Kinski and Laurine Price, who are in a deep marriage crisis as couple Jakob and Amelia while their son Henny, played by Casimir, navigates between the tensions. If you take a look behind the scenes, it turns out that the decision for Casimir was anything but a matter of course. His mother, Sharon Brauner, initially could not imagine putting her son in front of the camera, but Casimir was tireless and knew exactly what he wanted. "He really wanted that!" confessed to B.Z. And explained that Casimir was completely relaxed and ready to dive into his new role during filming. Immediately after the first start of shooting, his dream job reported: "Actor"! The street adventure and the family of artists seem to attract young talents.
This remake of "Dream Novel" is not only exciting for Casimir. It also brings a number of well -known faces such as Detlev Buck and Nora Islei on the screen. The film project is produced by Warnut's entertainment and the renowned studio Babelsberg and triggered an industry echo before the official theatrical release. As a highlight, “Dream Novel” will crown the opening night of the Oldenburg Film Festival, in which several members of the cast will step on the red carpet. The anticipation for the premiere, while Frerich's promises to pull the viewer deep into Schnitzler's world of eroticism and the Bourgeoi life, as Stanley Kubrick already did with his masterpiece, like The Oldenburg Film Festival confirmed.
