New nature experience in the Landscape Protection area Herzberge - job advertisement for the care of the ner

Investment in the future: Nature experience room (ner) in the LSG Herzberge

The city of Lichtenberg plans to create a natural experience room (ner) in the Herkberge landscape protection area and will seek a responsible person from October 2024 to look after the project. This step marks an important milestone for environmental education and nature conservation in the region.

Nature experience such as the planned ner in the heart mountains fulfill a variety of urban ecological and social functions. They serve health care, promote child development and awareness of nature. Children in particular should be given the opportunity to explore nature on their own without prefabricated play equipment or adults, and learn playfully and gain experience.

The district councilor for traffic, green spaces, order, environment and nature conservation, Filiz Küllüoğlu, emphasizes the importance of this project: "With the establishment of the nature experience area in the Landscape Protection area Herzberge, we create a valuable opportunity for the sustainable environmental education and the protection of our nature. I am pleased that we can start implementing this year thanks to the financial support of the Senate."

The project period will last from October 2024 to the end of December 2025 and funded with up to 30,000 euros annually. Interested people have the opportunity to request the tender documents by the end of July and to submit their application to the Lichtenberg district office by the end of August. An important step to invest in the future together and make the nature experience accessible to all residents.
