New bike road in Neukölln: Ilsestrasse will be rebuilt from August 2024

The Ilsestrasse in the Neukölln district will be converted into a bicycle road from August 2024. This is part of the Körnerkiez traffic concept, which is implemented by the Neukölln district office.

Ilsestrasse is redesigned between Emser Strasse and Thomassstraße to the bicycle road. In doing so, opposing one -way streets are set up, the cars are denied the passage in the neighborhood. For cyclists, the one -way streets are accessible in both directions. Crossing options for pedestrians are created at the intersections, while loading zones for delivery traffic are created. All houses remain accessible by car.

The Körnerkiez traffic concept was developed with the participation of many citizens and finalized on May 21, 2024.
