New construction project planned in the Wischbergeweg: important information event for residents
The road and green space office (SGA) Pankow plans a construction measure to stop the car passage in the wiper berry in Heinersdorf. The planned measure includes the blocking of the moped out of Malchower Straße by redesigning the junction. In the future, the access to the wiping ceremony will only be possible from Romain-Rolland-Straße or Rennbahnstrasse, and the street ends as a dead end on Malchower Straße. However, the dead end will continue to be passable for pedestrians and cyclists.
The decision for this conversion is based on a variety of complaints from residents and a decision of the district council of Pankow (BVV).
Information event on the construction work:
District Councilor for Order and Public Space, Manuela Anders-Granitzki, cordially invites all those affected and interested to an information event on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 7 p.m. in the street and green area office, Darßer Straße 203 in 13088 Berlin, room 224. During the event, the participants have the opportunity to express concerns and to speak directly to the district councilor.
Registration for the event:
So that the event can be optimally prepared, you will be asked to register by email to sga.allgemeilleGeM@ba-pankow.berlin.de by September 5th.
Overall, the construction measure will bring about a significant change in the traffic pattern of the Wiping Mixed in Heinersdorf. The redesign of the confluence and the blocking for vehicle traffic will certainly require an adaptation time, but ultimately help to improve the quality of life of the residents and to increase traffic safety.
Historical Parallels:
There are historical parallels to similar measures in which the vehicle through traffic was restricted in residential areas. An example of this is the introduction of traffic -calmed zones in various cities in Europe, which serve to reduce traffic in residential areas and to improve the quality of life for residents. In comparison, the planned conversion in the Wischberweg is a specific measure to link a street that is implemented due to residents' complaints and political decisions.
Background Information:
The planned renovation of the wiping ceremony in the Heinersdorf district is a reaction to complaints from the residents and a decision by the Pankow District Assembly (BVV). This measure aims to reduce car passage in the residential area and to improve the quality of life for residents. By redesigning the confluence of the moped out of Malchower Straße, traffic should be regulated and the access for motor vehicles is to be restricted. The dead end on the Wischbereweg should continue to be accessible to pedestrians and cyclists to enable alternative traffic routes.
statistics and data:
Current statistical data or scientific studies that support this specific measure to redesign the wiping maker in the Heinersdorf district are not available at the moment.
