in the Berlin district court, hall 817, a process is currently being negotiated that shocked the public. On December 5, 2022, a cruel incident occurred on the street "An der Urania" in Schöneberg: a passer -by was shot down from behind. Fortunately, the ball came back at the front, but her lung, spleen and heart were injured. The perpetrator initially fled, but was arrested two days later.
The crime scene on the Urania, where the ex-wife of the accused was fallen down, causes horror. The accused Naima K., the mother of the three youngest children of 72-year-old Hussein A.K., had already said against him in the past. On January 25, 2019, she met a ball on her shoulder. At that time she stated that she thought the pistol in her husband's hands. After a loud bang, she fled to the neighbors.
In the court, the accused was able to convince the judges at the time that he did not want to kill his wife. He claimed that she grabbed the pistol in the scramble and accidentally loosened a shot. The verdict was mildly: a year in prison for probation for negligent bodily harm.
Less than three years later, the accused is said to have brought himself up to his ex-wife again. In the middle of rush hour he attacked her from behind and shot her insidiously in the back. For this attempt to murder, he now threatens a lifelong prison sentence. In court he wraps himself in silence. According to reports, he should already have a new wife. The judgment in this explosive case is expected on August 23. The public looks forward to the outcome of the process and hopes for just punishment for the brutal attack on the woman. The incident also raises questions about the effectiveness of the previous judgment and shows the need to consistently combat domestic violence.
