In a significant step for Berlin's education, the 100 modular supplementary buildings (MEB) in Berlin were opened on Monday, this time at the primary school on the mill in Marzahn-Hellersdorf. The event was celebrated by educational senator Katharina Günther-Wünsch, urban development senator Christian Gaebler and the district mayor Nadja Zivkovic. A special highlight of the day was the appearance of the school choir and the gift of 100 balls by Mirko Zeng, managing director of the construction company Goldbeck, which built many of these modern supplements.

Günther-Wünsch described the opening as the "important milestone of the Berlin school building offensive". The new buildings should not only contribute to better training, but also create over 400 additional school places and upgrade existing facilities. Zivkovic thanked the participants for their quick planning and implementation and wished the students and teachers successful learning in the new premises.
