Modular and individually: HMD's new Fusion smartphone in focus

Berlin - At the IFA technology fair, HMD presented an innovative smartphone that can be designed individually thanks to the interchangeable modules. According to the name of the new model, the merger enables users to modify the device according to their own needs, be it for outdoor activities or for gaming. This flexibility could be an exciting new direction in the smartphone market.

The special thing about this device is the so -called smart outfits. The modules are attached to the smartphone via magnetic pin strips and not only change the coloring of the devices, but also bring practical functions. One example is the Rugged outfit cover that makes the smartphone robust and shockproof and is equipped with an IP68 certification. This ensures that the device remains both dust and waterproof. In addition, the cover is provided with a function for wireless charging and a special emergency button.

versatility through modules

Another module, the Flashy Outfit, transforms the merger into a particularly photo -friendly device. With a rotating LED light ring, which can be used as a camera blitz and as a selfie ring, it primarily appeals to young, trend-conscious users. For gamer, HMD also plans a special cover that is equipped with special control elements on both sides to transform the smartphone into a handheld gaming device.

The possibility is particularly positive that the owners of the merger can unscrew the device themselves without losing the guarantee. This enables you to replace defective parts such as housings, batteries, loading lenses or displays independently and thereby remain regardless of repair services.

Technically, HMD has upgraded the merger-equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (SM4450) Eight-core processor, an advanced dual camera system with 108 megapixels and a powerful battery that can be loaded 5,000 mAh and can quickly be loaded with up to 33 watts. The 6.56 -inch display with 90 Hertz ensures that content is presented smoothly and brightly with up to 600 nits.

The merger is delivered with Android 14, which makes users look forward to the latest functions of the operating system. HMD has also undertaken to provide two large operating system updates and three years of security updates. The price level begins at 250 euros, but the exact market prices for the various module combinations and covers are not yet known.
