Central library at Kottbusser Tor celebrates 60th anniversary with colorful family program and music

The anniversary break of the focus library on Kottbusser Tor is just around the corner! On Saturday, September 7th, this special facility will celebrate its 60th birthday. For all literature lovers and residents who like to stay in a cozy atmosphere, this is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the anniversary.

The celebrations begin at 1 p.m. at the Wilhelm Liebknecht / Namik Kemal center library at Adalbertstraße 2, 10999 Berlin. The colorful family program offers numerous activities for young and old. From jewelry tinkering to face painting to screen printing workshops, there is something for everyone. In addition, the little visitors in the LEGO® Build the Change area can become creative and explore the bibobike on the playground.

At 2 p.m., an exciting children's theater piece is ready on the change stage, followed by the appearance of the choir of the Jend-Nydahl primary school at 3 p.m. A highlight of the afternoon is the German-Arab picture book cinema at 3:30 p.m., which ensures a cultural diversity.

In the evening from 4 p.m., the evening program is heralded. The DJ team Siffy O & Len Lavender ensure the background music, while an art campaign from the Kotti shop will amaze visitors. Snacks and drinks are also ready to end the evening comfortably.

Circular dances with Christine Nimtsch at 5 p.m. and a concert by the Adar Ensemble at 6 p.m., in which Kurdish melodies meet blues and rock, complete the program perfectly. Admission is free and a prior registration is not necessary, so that everyone interested is very welcome.
