Extension of the swimming bus: District office Mitte ensures safe access to swimming lessons

The district councilor for school and Sport, Benjamin Fritz, has announced that the swimming bus in Mitte will be preserved. The contract for the swimming bus is extended to bring third graders to the swimming pools in the district and thus enable access to swimming pools and swimming lessons. This measure is intended to help improve the children's swimming skills in the middle.

currently the district of Mitte is located in the second last place in the district comparison with a view of the non -swimmer quota. By continuing the swimming bus, the pupils should be supported to learn to swim safely and to promote their health and swimming skills.

The decision to maintain the swimming bus is met with a positive response. District Councilor Benjamin Fritz expressed his joy that the students in Mitte continue to be offered transport to the swimming halls in order to give them the opportunity to become safe swimmers.

It is important to note that swimming skills of children are not only an integral part of health education, but also help to learn safe behavior in the water and thus reduce the risk of accidents.

In terms of historical facts, it can be mentioned that swimming lessons and access to swimming pools were not always a matter of course. In the past, swimming was often only practiced by certain social classes, and there were fewer public swimming facilities.

It remains to be hoped that the continuation of the swimming bus in Mitte will help to further improve the children's swimming skills and to facilitate access to swimming for everyone.
