At this year's awarding of the Environment and Climate Prize in Berlin-Mitte in the school environment center, numerous projects were awarded that are committed to the environment, nature and climate protection. The spectrum of the projects ranged from nature conservation and gardeners to environmental technology and resource conservation to artistic work. The prize money of a total of 3000 euros was awarded in three categories, including a special price for species protection projects.
District City Councilor Christopher Schriner emphasized the importance of the school and environmental center as a place of encounter for people of different ages, which enables nature in the city. He congratulated all award winners and underlined the importance of the environmental and climate price for the recognition of the commitment to environmental protection.
