New playground in Mollstrasse: Colonal opening for World Children's Day

New playground in Mollstrasse: A place of cooperation

On September 20, the redesigned playground on Mollstrasse will be ceremoniously opened. This opening falls on World Children's Day, a special occasion that focuses on the rights and well -being of children. From 2 p.m. everyone is invited to explore the diverse play options and the barrier -free design of the square.

The project was launched with great care and defiant sensitivity to create a scope that is accessible to everyone. Along with the citizen participation and in particular the inclusion of children from the area, the playground was planned so that it also offers people with comprehensive opportunities. This inclusive offer is one step towards an equal participation of all children in play and movement.

The nearby Charlotte Pfeffer School played an important role in this project, which specializes in the special education support of children with intellectual development. The school was actively involved in the planning process to ensure that the needs of the students are optimally taken into account. Direct access from the school premises to the playground will make it easier for the children to visit the new place for play and leisure.

The playground comprises various areas that younger and older children address. The so -called "islands" offer opportunities for swings, balancing and climbing. All play areas are designed to be barrier -free so that they can also be safely reached by wheelchair users. Such considerations are more than just structural measures; They promote the feeling of community and coexistence in the neighborhood.

The financing of this comprehensive construction measure was provided by the urban development program "Living Centers and Domoses". This illustrates the city's commitment to increase the quality of life for all citizens by investing in the infrastructure.

From the 38th calendar week, the construction fences are broken down so that the playground is accessible to everyone. The opening will not only create a new place to play, but also strengthen the sense of community in Mitte and invite you to reflect on the importance of an inclusive design in the city.
