The district councilor for order, environment, nature, streets and green spaces, Dr. Almut Neumann, informs that the street and green space office in Mitte redesigned the playground on the large meadow in the Volkspark Humboldthain. The new play equipment is under the motto "Railway" and include a climbing frame in the form of a locomotive and a small Lorenbahn. Part of the old play equipment is renovated and integrated into the existing system. In addition, all play equipment is more inclusive and barrier -less to enable children with disabilities to use them. In addition, new seating options and trash cans are set up. The construction work is expected to begin in 45 or 46. Calendar week and take six weeks. The playground will be completely closed during the renovation.
The playground on the large meadow is one of the oldest in the Mitte district and is very popular with families, kindergartens and school classes from the area.
