New footpath on the Packergraben: Connection to the Steinberg Park is created!

Am Packeregraben in Berlin will be created by mid -2026 a new footpath, which is to improve the connection between the Cité Foch and the Steinberg Park. Initial plans for the approximately 250 meter long section are already available and will be presented to the public in January 2025. On January 25, 2025, the residents and park visitors can find out about the planned measures on January 25, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Steinbergpark, near the Packeregraben bridge structure. The Ingenieurbüro Sinnes.werk GmbH will explain the details on site and receive suggestions for planning, such as Mein.Berlin.de . With this measure, the residents of the Cité Foch receive a safe and green connection to the popular local recreation area Steinbergpark.

The district councilor for urban development, Korinna Stephan (B'90/Greens), emphasizes the importance of the new path for the urban infrastructure and the quality of life in the area. Julia Schrod-Thiel (CDU), the district councilor for order, environment and traffic, describes the new path as a significant step to sustainably opening the park for pedestrians and the increase in quality of stay in the Steinbergpark.
