New bicycle roads in Tiergarten-Süd: Citizen participation planned
The district councilor Dr. Almut Neumann and the district councilor Ephraim Gothe are planning to create five new bicycle streets in Tiergarten-Süd Kiezblocks. This measure is intended to help improve cycling in the area and to increase safety for cyclists. In cooperation with the Tiergarten-Süd district forum and the Tiergarten-Süd district coordination, the Road and Green Area Office in Mitte invites the residents and interested parties to inform themselves about the current status of the project and to contribute their suggestions for further planning.
bicycle streets are streets on which bicycle traffic has priority and motor vehicles are only allowed to drive at step speed. Kiezblocks are urban neighborhoods in which measures are taken to improve the quality of life of the residents. The planned bicycle roads are to be built on the streets of Lützowstrasse, Kluckstraße, Genthiner Straße, Stauffenbergstrasse and Lützowufer.
The information event will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Villa Lützow, Lützowstr. 28, 10785 Berlin, instead. There, interested parties can learn more about the planned measures and express their thoughts. Then you have the opportunity to provide further information by March 17, 2024 via the Mein.Berlin.de participation portal. The revised plans will then be presented at the garden festival in Villa Lützow on Friday, April 26, 2024.
It is recommended to inform yourself in good time and take part in the event to help shape the future design of the bicycle roads in Tiergarten-Süd.
