Art Raum Mitte: Transforming exhibition and open studio!

The art space in Berlin opens its doors for the exhibition "Transforming". This exhibition, which is part of the annual program Diffractions, combines contemporary positions with curatorial research processes. In addition to talks and performances, the exhibition emphasizes the architectural, social and historically grown dimensions of the exhibition location. Anna Zett presents her research on performative actions by the late GDR in the open studio. Martha Display display offers another insight into the history of the white elephant gallery.

The opening will take place on September 12th at 6 p.m., and the exhibition runs from September 13, 2024 to January 5, 2025 in Kunst Raum Mitte, Auguststraße 21, 10117 Berlin. Additional information on the event program is available online on the new homepage www.kunstraummitte.berlin. Admission is free and the art space in the middle is part of Berlin Art Week 2024.

Also in Mitte, the new gaming area in the Philipp-Schaeffer library will be opened on September 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The offer includes console games, board games and cozy sofas for people aged 12 and over. There will be an entertaining opening program with game tournaments, gaming goodies and creative buttons. The library is located in Brunnenstraße 181.

On September 30th, a reading and a conversation with the authors Saba-Nur Cheema and Meron Mendel on their book "Muslim-Jewish evening bread" will take place in the Philipp-Schaeffer library. The authors will discuss prejudices, social tensions and dialogue. The event promises inspiring discussions and food for thought. Registration required.
