Kitas in Berlin start health offensive - apply now!
Today, district councilor for youth, family and health Christoph Keller announced in a press release that the Berlin state program "Kitas - for the good healthy day care center" will start the next two -year implementation phase in 2026. For over 10 years, this program has not only been promoting health, but also education in daycare centers. A total of 27 partner institutions are involved in the program, which is headed for by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family. The initiators would like to support both health promotion and prevention in Berlin daycare centers, which has contributed to an improvement in the conditions in Kita Life over the years.
The program allows every daycare center to set its own priorities and goes through a structured organizational development cycle in six steps. In each daycare center, two employees are trained as multipliers to ensure a sustainable implementation of the measures. The institutions receive technical support from qualified process attendants and coordinators. In addition, accompanying materials are available to the daycare centers that aim to promote health and well -being. Training, specialist days and offers from the partner institutions complement the versatile support offer.
