Volunteer Prize 2024: Berlin Mitte is looking for committed people and groups

In Berlin Mitte, the voluntary commitment of the citizens is recognized and celebrated. The district councilor for social affairs and civil services, Carsten Spallek, launched the 2024 volunteer award to reward the diversity and the commitment of numerous people in the district. We are looking for outstanding initiatives in various areas such as the neighborhood and neighborhood development, social and caritative commitment, culture and education, sport and environment as well as specific groups such as women, people with disabilities, queer people and people with migration history.

The initiative recognizes the diverse talents and skills that help to hold and enrich the community. Through the organization of neighborhood festivals, the support of people in need, promoting art and literature, the protection of the environment, the support of homeless people and senior citizens and much more helps the committed to strengthen the social structure of the district.

The suggestions for potential award winners can be submitted online by May 21, 2024. Every volunteer in the district can be proposed, and the committed people are also free to suggest themselves if they are volunteering. The Middle District Center is available for further information and contact.

Volunteering plays a crucial role in the quality of life and the cohesion of a community. Events such as the 2024 volunteer award will be recognized and emphasized in order to inspire more people to actively contribute to their community. The diversity of the initiatives and the recognition of individual contributions contribute to making Berlin Mitte a more lively and more solidary district.
