Displayed Words: Language, Text and Poetry at the Tiergarten town hall
The district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, informs about the art project "Displayed Words - Language, Text and Poetry at the Rathaus Tiergarten and Online". This cooperation between the Center for Contemporary Art - CCA Berlin and the Mitte district office will present work by various writers and artists on a digital scoreboard at the Tiergarten town hall and online at www.displayedwords.org until April 30, 2024. The project should deal with language, text and poetry through digital and public formats and raise questions about historical and cultural contexts of literature and poetry.
The Tiergarten town hall, as a place of administrative design of social existence, is open to citizens seeking advice, regardless of ethnicity, gender, class, religion, status and origin. Until the end of the project, work by Angélica Freitas, Hassan Khan, Otis Mensah, Rafael Moreno, Nhã Thuyên and Kinga Tóth will be presented.
The project is accompanied by a number of discussions and is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe, project funds from outdoor town and the Berlin artist program of the DAAD.
