Next Sunday, July 21, 2024, the district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, invites you to the cultural meeting party on Leopoldplatz. Visitors can expect a diverse program full of music, dance and culinary delights.

The festival offers a unique opportunity to bring people from different origins and cultures together. While food trucks take care of the physical well-being, visitors can take part in workshops for painting, embroidery, cooking and comic drawing. Children can test their skill on a tape art movement course, while long beer tables make getting to know each other.

A special highlight are the musical performances. From the "encounter choir Berlin", which is fled and locals, to the Syrian Oud sound player "Wassim Mukdad and the Female Voices" to the Turkish-German band "The Orim" there is something for every taste of music. Local Berlin artists such as the R&B pop singer "Kartini" and the instrumental trio of "Dance Depot" will also inspire the audience.

The meeting festival marks the cultural starting signal for the measures to "strengthen security in public space", which were decided at the Berlin Security Summit. With this festival, District Mayor Stefanie Remlinger is pursuing the goal of transforming Leopoldplatz into a safe place of encounter and cultural exchange.

A special highlight of the evening will be a tango workshop in which everyone present has the opportunity to swing the leg. A festival full of cultural diversity and community sense awaits visitors at Leopoldplatz.
