Vernissage and book premiere: Rainer Kirsch celebrates 90th birthday

The district central library Mark Twain - Arthothek in Berlin invites you to the Vernissage of an exhibition for Rainer Kirsch's 90th birthday on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The event takes place in the Marzahner Promenade 55 and is carried out by Dr. Matthias Oehme moderated while Kerstin Hensel will keep a reading. Burga Kalinowski praises Kirsch's poems as suggestive, clear and musically and mentions his essay on the art of poetic translation entitled "The Word and its Radiation".

The vernissage also marks the book premiere of "Hundred Poems" by Rainer Kirsch, which will be released on June 18, 2024 in Eulenspiegel-Verlag. In addition to Kerstin Hensel and Dr. Matthias Oehme is also involved in Helga Grzebytta as curator of the exhibition. Admission to the event is free, but donations to the Förderverein Stadtbibliothek Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V. are requested to co-finance the event.
