a summer full of adventures in the gardens of the world

The gardens of the world are the perfect place for families this summer to attend creative workshops together, to take part in Highland Games and even take part in a photo exhibition.

workshops for children and family tours

children between the ages of 6 and 12 can take part in the varied themed workshops in which they can learn to create subjects, bags or ceramics, to drum, dance like a Disney comic figure or even their own fairy garden. The programs are free and take place outdoors so that parents can watch their children discover.

For the whole family there is also a 90-minute journey of discovery through the gardens of the world every Monday during the summer vacation. From works of art in the park to enchanting fairy tale figures, there is something to discover for all ages. The meeting point is at the visitor center at 2:00 p.m.

Highland Games and photo exhibition

A particularly exciting adventure awaits visitors on the weekend from August 24th to 25th, when the Berlin Highland Games take place in the world's gardens. In addition to professional competitions in hammer and tree trunk throwing, visitors can demonstrate their strength and skill themselves. There are also musical entertainment, show fights of the knight guild and an exciting treasure hunt. The event is included in the admission price for the gardens of the world.

The photo exhibition "Changing Planet" focuses on the changing relationship between people and the environment. Young photographers have created around 100 photos that show the effects of climate change and pollution. The exhibition can be seen in the Hall of Reception in the Oriental-Islamic Garden until July 31 and contained in the park.

In addition to the workshops, family tours, Highland Games and the photo exhibition, the series of events in the world's gardens offers a variety of other experiences. From a special tour through the Japanese garden to the radio play Slam to Go and the classic night "Viva la Musica" there is something for every taste.
