Student exhibition on Nagel's works: focuses on values ​​in the focus

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., an exhibition of pupils of the art of art of the Otto-Nagel-Gymnasium will open in the Heino Schmieden-Saal of Biesdorf Castle. The exhibition bears the title “Values, Passion, Solidarity in Nagel's works - values ​​of pupils” and deals with the topic of solidarity in the works of the Berlin artist Otto Nagel.

The students dealt with small work by Otto Nagel, who are privately owned. You have researched intensively, conducted interviews with family members and friends and created your own graphics, paintings and photos that reflect the value of solidarity. These creative works are now presented in the exhibition.

The exhibition is freely accessible until Friday, March 22, 2024, during the opening hours of Biesdorf Castle. Otto Nagel (1894-1967) was an important Berlin painter and graphic artist who was primarily known for his socially critical works. As an honorary citizen of Berlin, he left a diverse artistic heritage that still inspires and stimulates thought today.

The exhibition of the students of the Otto-Nagel-Gymnasium not only offers an insight into the examination of the works of a renowned artist, but also encourages the importance of values ​​such as solidarity in today's society.
